If you wanted to check out tire suppliers, the 2013 Global Tire Expo in Las Vegas was the place to go.

Almost every type of tire was there, from passenger and light truck to ag, OTR and industrial. The domestic marketing arms of some of the largest tire makers in the world were there, including Continental Tire the Americas LLC, Pirelli Tire LLC, Hankook Tire America Corp., Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Maxxis International-USA and Toyo Tire Holdings of America Inc.

The big story, however, was the number of Chinese tire companies exhibiting. If you wanted to add a low-cost radial to your product mix, Las Vegas was the place to be.

And they weren't just showcaseing consumer tires. Truck, both bias and radial, ag, OTR and industrial tires also were on display.
